UMS Summer Solstice News

Hello Everyone!

Happy Full Moon Summer Solstice to you all. What an amazing time this is to be alive. If you live in the northern hemisphere, I encourage you to take some time on the Summer Solstice (June 21st, the longest day of the year) to meditate on all that the year has brought to your life, all the growth and changes, and all the gifts received, through many guises. Feel how all the growth is culminating in some way, at this time. Take in the energy of the sun, the life force, at this, the strongest time for it's physical manifestation.

 The University Of Metaphysical Sciences will be holding a live meditation through webconference on March 21, 2010 entitled Oneness. If you're interested in taking part in a meditation regarding Oneness in the paradigm shift, with some Q&A to follow, please register below. For an undetermined amount of time men and women have sought to understand the dynamics of the inner flow of qi/prana/energy within their bodies. This extensive study of the human energy body has led to many systems of energy enhancement and refinement.

For the last several thousand years in China the study of qi has been a dedicated passion and has led (in my opinion) to one of the most sophisticated forms of personal energy work known to this planet. The developers of this Chinese system of energy work have, among other names, become known today as Taoist Inner Alchemists.

Make Friends and Connect in your area

We have had many emails and requests from students and from the general public who would like to meet others who are attending or are otherwise involved with UMS in their area. We hope that you can find each other here, introduce yourselves and create regional groups where y'all can have a monthly potluck, meditation, ceremony or other type of get together, whatever works for you! Feel free to start a thread for your particular area. For instance, we know there are lots of UMS students in Australia, Canada, Los Angelos, San Francisco, etc.

Guided Meditation, Is it for you?

Metaphysics helps teach us that through meditation we can benefit incredibly in all areas of our life. Meditation helps one overcome stress, anxiety, depression, anger, illness. It helps improve so many areas, too. Meditation helps you re-charge, rejuvenate, find greater attentiveness, awareness, calmness. It can help you find your own personal peace. It strengthens your intuition, learning ability, and awareness of your surroundings. Not to mention meditation helps you find joy and tranquility.
