A little boy walks into a pet shop, and he notices that one of the puppies is set off to the side by himself. He reaches over and pets the puppy. His  loving attention is returned by by the puppy with lots of tail wagging and those adoring glimmers found only in a puppies eyes.

The shopkeeper walks up behind the little boy and says, "oh if you want a puppy you don't want that one", choose one of the other puppies. The little boy ask the shopkeeper, "why wouldn't I want this puppy?" To which the shopkeeper responds, "you don't want this puppy he can't play and get around as well as the others, he has a bum leg." The little boy said, "Yes, this is the puppy I want." The little boy digs deep into his pockets shows the shopkeeper how much he has, which isn't much, to pay for the puppy and the shopkeeper agrees to sell the puppy for a few bucks to the little boy.

The shopkeeper reaches in picks up the puppy and is getting him ready to go to his new home, he turns and ask the little boy, "why are you so determined to have this puppy, you know he won't be able to run and play like the others." Just then the shopkeeper notices that the little boy is walking with a severe limp. The little boy looks up at him and said, "that's okay mister I have a bum leg too, I can't run or play like the others either, so I figure we'll get along just fine."
